Oh Hello Winter!

I love Christmas and with Halloween safely over it's time to start the countdown! This is a very Christmas inspired outfit, but I love it. I went for a spot of late lunch yesterday in Dalkey, and wanted to wrap up warm and this Jumper was the perfect item to wear. It's nice and cosy, but not too heavy!
I absolutely adore the colour, and it's so comfy. It kept me nice and warm on what was only to be described as Summer in Winter! For reference, I ordered an XL as sizing is small and I found I'd heaps of room, which makes it even cosier! Not content enough with the jumper I added a faux fur head band. I'm a huge fan of faux fur in Winter and I can't tell you how much of it I own. This red is a nice addition and will be gorgeous with all black! I added a slick of red lippy (Kate Moss for Rimmel #107) if you're wondering!
I kept things casual with a pair of black leggings, and over the knee boots. I picked these up for under €30 in Penney's the other week. They're marked as "wide fit" but being honest I had to size up as I found they were a little bit tight! They're very comfortable though and I know they'll be a Winter staple. I added a long necklace that I've had for probably 6 years now at this stage! The Tote bag is from Littlewoods and it's absolutely perfect for everyday life and work! I like bags I can fit everything in, and this bag is very handy!

Life Update!

Okay, so it's been a month since I've blogged and like always I don't really have an excuse - can I just say life got in the way? It's been an eventful month to say the least and I've no doubt that November is going to be equally eventful with a few exciting things happening in the next few weeks. I'll keep you all updated via Snapchat and Instagram (username BowFabulous).

I was in London and Paris last month and next month it's on to Germany and up to Belfast in the same week, so my schedule is a little bit busy and fitting in work in between will be a bit of a task! I can't complain though, it's all going pretty well for Sianny at the moment, so unfortunately the blog took a back seat, but going forward I want to dedicate as much time as I physically can.

What I Wore | Black & Grey

So Autumn is in full swing and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thrilled. I love the colder weather and wrapping up warm! This is the last piece from SheIn and I'm still impressed! I will admit I didn't hold high expectation and like I mentioned in my previous posts that the only reason I tested them out was to test the quality! I chose this jacket and it's surprisingly warm! At a 14, I chose the XL and It just about fits, so the sizes are teeny. On that note, however, they have just introduced Plus Sizes which is pretty cool! It doesn't close on me, but this is the type of jacket that you'd leave open anyway so it suits me down to the ground!
I wore this with a tunic long sleeve top, leggings and a pair of ridiculously comfortable over the knee boots, which I picked up before Christmas last year. They're stretchy so if you have a wider calf then they'll still stretch to accommodate! I love an all black outfit with a touch of grey. It's really easy to wear and somewhat effortless. To jazz up the outfit, I added a very statement necklace that I picked up in Paris a few years ago.  This has been my go-to outfit over the past few weeks and it doesn't look like it's going to change anytime soon!

What I Wore | Aztec Cardigan

Like I mentioned in one of my last posts, I decided to test Sheinside out for quality and fit - being bigger than most of the bloggers that try out their clothing. As a size 14 I chose carefully and I was happy with my first dress - and I have two more items to review for you all. I went for a cardigan as I wear them all throughout the Winter and I felt that this one would be perfect paired with black - my staple colour throughout the Winter!
The quality is surprisingly good! The material isn't itchy and although not the warmest of cardigans it's going to be a great layering piece - I went for the biggest size (L) and it fits well. The arms aren't tight and I've loads of room to move. This type of Cardigan is meant to be worn open and it just sits nicely (In my opinion anyway....!) I absolutely adore the print - especially the Burgundy as I have heaps of burgundy accessories so I can accessorise this cardigan very easily!

I wore this with a tunic dress from H&M, which I bought two+ years ago. You really can never have enough "staple" pieces in your wardrobe - you'll never have "nothing" to wear ever again. I paired it with my Over the Knee boots from River Island that I got before Christmas last year and they're so comfortable. They're a size too big (they sold out so fast) but I just wear thick fluffy socks with them!To completely the look I added a burgundy necklace and a burgundy floppy hat!

What I Wore | Cocoa Brown Passion,Persistence, Pink Party!

When I was invited along to the Passion,Persistence,Pink Event in the Shelbourne I knew I'd have to make somewhat of an effort. The event was to reveal the brand new Cocoa Brown Products and we were all excited! As you saw with the post yesterday you know my thoughts on them! I've always been such a support of both Marissa Carter and Cocoa Brown so it was an honor to attend and to listen to Marissa. She's an incredibly talented and inspiring women and she inspires me beyond belief.
I didn't really know what to wear, all I did know that I wanted to wear something pink and girly. I fancied something new and was browsing the sale section on Asos and this dress stood out to me. It was under €20 but it was in the Maternity section. I did a "Yolo" and ordered it. Worse case scenario I could always return it. When it arrived It was very poofy and it wouldn't be what I'd call "flattering", but I loved the dress and I felt girly in it, so I wore it and felt great. I did add a belt to draw attention to my waist and give me a bit more of a silhouette. I posted some photo's on my Facebook Page if you want to see it from other angles!
The Lavish Alice Cape is actually a size 10! At the time they only had a size 14 or a size 10 and I found the 14 too big on my shoulders so I decided to try on the 10 and although it's not my size it fits really well, so I scooped it up and hot footed it to the till. This whole outfit isn't specifically for my size and it somehow worked! It just goes to show that no matter what try everything on and make sure a garment fits the way you want it to and ignore the label! My one rule of advice is to try everything one and you'll be more often than not pleasantly surprised!

Cocoa Brown | Gel Bronze Matte & Shimmer Review

The cat is finally out of the back. Marissa Carter has launched two new Cocoa Brown products! I've known Marissa ever since I attended the launch of Cocoa Brown 1-Hour Tan in the Residence Members Club in December 2013 and I've been a firm supporter ever since. Today I'm delighted to introduce you to the two NEW products. The new instant tanner "Gel Bronze" in both a Matte and a Shimmer!
As always the packaging is girly and pink! You get a decent size for €6.99 and you don't need to use that much to get a nice golden glow. It's a really handy tube too - am I the only one that's fussy about certain tubes?! Anyway, the packaging as always is A+ and in keeping with the Cocoa Brown theme. I was thrilled when the products were revealed as I do look a good instant tanner, and while I love the 1-hour tan, sometimes I'm just a little too lazy for even that!

As with all the Cocoa Brown products both the Bronzing Gels are non-comedogenic which means they won't block your pores or cause breakouts and they can be safely used on your face. As someone who doesn't like to wear makeup 24/7 this is great news and subsequently is the only false tan I'd even consider applying to my face! As for the scent? Marissa has kept her signature Tahitian Gardenia scent so you'll be left smelling gorge!
Matte Gel Bronze*
I love this. It's the perfect product to apply when you want a nice lighter glow, but don't have the time to apply the 1-Hour. I found you didn't need that much product to cover your legs and I found the consistency great. It's not too thick nor too watery and blends in like a dream. I used both my hands and my mitt and I was pleased with both applications! I would always suggest a mitt to save your poor hands. I also did a little test and splashed some water on my legs after application. I think we're all too terrified of instant tans after instants tans from our youths would run at even the slightest hint of rain.. . Well you'll be pleased to know this didn't run at all!
Shimmer Gel Bronze*
I have a confession to make. Before I even tried either of them I had made up my mind that this was going to be my favourite. I'm a lover of all things glittery and shimmery so I knew that this one was going to be my favourite. If you follow me on Snapchat (BowFabulous) you'll see my little demo and how much I loved it. It literally glistens in such a gorgeous subtle way. It's not too shimmery, but under the right light it's positively glowy. Like the Matte, it rubs in easily and doesn't become streaky at the mere thought of water! It would look gorgeous for a night out or even on your decolletage! This for me is definitely the winning product!
As always Cocoa Brown gets a huge thumbs up from me! These babies will be available from the 12th of October and are available to pre-order now on Cloud10 Beauty!

What I Wore | Casual Saturday

So on Saturday I went to Oktoberfest! I wanted to wear something semi-dressy so I went with a Tunic and some jeans. I'm a no fuss- no muss kinda gal (most of the time) so I'm definitely most comfortable in this time of outfit! I knew we'd be going out for a few drinks after so I wanted to get the right mix between dressy and casual!

I picked up these jeans in Penney's last week for €15. I picked them up in a size 14 and they're so stretchy! If you're in-between sizes definitely size down! They're between a jean and a trouser and they're incredibly soft and comfortable! The tunic is also from Penney's and it's very versatile and the belt cinches you in at the waist emphasising my hourglass shape. I also threw on my much loved River Island jacket. I pick it up this time last year and I wore it to absolute death this year and last! I brought along my Louis Vuitton "Neverfull" to cart all my shite around. It is big, but it's perfect for days out when you need to bring a few bits around with you. To complete my outfit I wore my signature statement necklace and big sunnies!

Oktoberfest Dublin 2015

Yesterday a few of the girls and I headed towards the IFSC to see what all the fuss of Oktoberfest was about! I'm a self-confessed foodie and I love stuffing my face any chance I get so this was the perfect way to spend a sunny Saturday! We were really blessed with the weather and it was great to go at the time we did as when we were leaving the place was insanely crowded. If you're anything like me and my friends and don't enjoy places that are too crowded if you go in the afternoon you'll have a really pleasant experience (Although if you're a lot more social than I am  - definitely wait until after later on!) Oktoberfest is a free event until after 10-pm where you have to buy a meal voucher (€6 but €1 goes to charity and then you get a €5 meal voucher!)
We made it there for about 3.30 and we all agreed is was probably the best time to go. We actually didn't que up (50 minutes) to get into the drink tents but we still enjoyed the atmosphere and the food/drink without queing! We managed to get a table and we just chilled there for awhile catching up while eating and drinking! We all went for Bratwurst and they were delicious as well as sharing some friend potato's! I picked up some Haribo for the table and it bloody cost me €11.50! The most expensive bag of sweets I've ever purchased. They were nice, so I'm not going to moan about it too much - Just be warned don't overdo it at the Haribo stand! After eating and drinking our weight we went for a little wander and ended up at a mini donut stand where we naturally had to stop, drop and roll into the que. We all shared some mini donuts which were swimming in Nutella - it's safe to say they all went down a treat!
If you're thinking of something to do today or indeed next week (It's open during the week too - for those of you bold enough to venture out on a school night) Oktoberfest is a really good day out! If you're not a big drinker either you won't feel like you're missing out! They have an array of soft drinks as well a non-alcoholic beers for you to enjoy! There is loads of food available from chicken to hamburgers to pretzels to bratwurst - honestly even the pickiest of eaters will find something that tickles their fancy! As for prices (bar the Haribo) everything is reasonable for a Bratwurst and fried potato's it was €8.50 and it will fill you up to the brim! They also have crepes which I really wanted to try (this is the Nutella fiend in me talking) but I was positively too stuffed to even contemplate getting one - I'm going back again next week so I'll report back!
We all agreed that it was a fantastic afternoon out. There was a real buzz about the place and we were all happy just chilling, eating and people watching! They had a cool swing carousel that I desperately wanted to have a go of, but no one would take one for the team and hop on with me! I will say that it was probably for the best as my stomach was so full of food I don't know how well it would have gone down...(or up!) I really, really did enjoy my day at Oktoberfest and will definitely try to get back down next weekend.

If you're interested in going, Oktoberfest is on until next Sunday - the 4th of October. Honestly lads, it's well worth going down to visit. It's only a 10-minute walk from O'Connell St (or 2 stops on the Luas if you're being lazy!) And if you leave before 10 it's entirely free! We all know there 'ain't that many free events going on at the moment so take full advantage ladies and gents. This event is totally family friends too. I saw tons of families enjoying a nice day out and there is a decent amount of tables to sit back and relax - provided you rock up early enough. We arrived at about 3.30 and we had our pick of tables!

I'll have all the outfit details up on the blog tomorrow so keep your eyes peeled!

Combating Dry Skin with La Roche Posay

I know you're probably sick of me harping on about my "Dry Skin" it's all you'll hear about this Winter again no doubt! Truth be told I do have very dry skin and it can be a problem in the Winter. For me when my skin is really dry, my foundation doesn't sit properly and my skin generally just looks bleugh. It gets really irritated and it's can aggravate me a lot. I definitely have been feeling a change in the air as of late so I'm thrilled these products landed in my door when they did!
My dry patches are my cheeks, my forehead and primarily my chin. I was in touch with the lovely PR team at La Roche Posay a little while ago and they kindly sent me out some products to try! I've been using these for little over a week and I feel I've made up my mind about them already. La Roche Posay is a skincare brand that I've come to know and trust and I've always had really positive experiences with their brand.

I normally have a very good skincare routine and I haven't gone to bed in makeup in absolute years(Even if it's a makeup wipe job coming home drunk!) Nothing really has worked for me properly for a long period of time. I tried the Nutritic Intense Riche cream before and I absolutely loved it - It lasted me through last Winter but I never got around to repurchasing it, so I was thrilled when I got to test it out again.

I hadn't ever tried the Physiological Cleansing Milk* or the Ultrafine Scrub* so these were definitely the two I was most looking forward to trying.I am always on the hunt for a good facial exfoliant so I was so excited to give this a go! I find personally I need a 3 step skincare routine otherwise my skin doesn't get the best out of products. I love that these products all work towards combating dry and sensitive skin. I wouldn't necessarily class my skin as sensitive, but it doesn't hurt to add it to my skincare routine as my skin can go through sensitive phases every now and again!
UltraFine Scrub*: So first things first I start off with the UltraFine Scrub to get rid of any dead skin cells. I absolutely adore this scrub. I wet my face a little bit with warm water and then apply to my face in circular motions. It's really fine and it doesn't hurt in the slightest. The beads are so fine, but you can really tell it's working. It feels so nice and refreshing. It's great in the morning when you need to be woken up (anyone else?!) If you do have sensitive skin this won't aggravate it as it is really gentle and my face isn't one bit red afterwards, which is always a plus! I've noticed my face in general is a little less red and I'm hoping this will only improve as I keep using it - I will definitely keep you all updated, but so far so good!

Physiological Cleansing Milk* is up next. It's really simple to apply. Squirt onto a cotton pad (I get a big ass bag in Penneys for €2) and apply to the face. This removes makeup, but being honest I do a precleanse (never thought I'd be one of those now!) I mainly used my Micellar water from Bioderma.  So I mainly use this to get rid of the rest of my makeup. It's really nice and hydrating and a little does go a long way. I did find it could leave a little greasy residue, but that didn't bother me too much. Over all it left my skin nice and hydrated and got rid of every inch of my makeup that was still on my face. It's definitely up there on my favourite cleansers!

Nutritic Intense Riche Cream* is by far my favourite product- It's something that I will forever repurchase and I know now this is going to be my go to moisturiser this Winter. It's really thick but sinks into the skin effortlessly. I only really use this at night or if I'm bumming it around the house at home as it's too heavy in my opinion to apply in the morning. My dry skin patches although haven't been eradicated entirely have improved greatly! I know from previous experience after using this for a few weeks regularly my dry skin patches will be completely gone! If you've dry skin and are dreading the colder weather you need to buy this pronto - you can thank me later!
Overall I think I'm very pleased with my skincare Regime at the moment and my skin is feeling ten times better! I'll update y'all on all my social media channels on how I get on in a few more weeks! I've always been using a Lush Face Mask that I'll review soon too! Watch this space!

Unless you're living under a rock as of late, you'll know that Snapchat has really taken off over the past few months. I've had Snapchat for well over a year now so I 'aint no newbie but I recently opened up my Snapchat to everyone and it's gotten a lot more interesting - to say the least! I will warn you I only use Snapchat to document my extremely fabulous and glamorous life ;) LOL JK I'm mainly in my PJ's moaning about everything and anything.

If you want to follow me on Snapchat you can find me @BowFabulous

Without wanting to sound like a right 'ol Negative Nancy let's start off with the Best of Snapchat! Snapchat is so fun and for the most part, I'm cracking up laughing and ignoring all the irritating things as it's all around a pretty good app and I don't know what I'd do without it - who would I vent to? Youtube is far too much of a commitment! ;)

I get to know my blogger friends (some who I've yet to meet) a lot better, it's lovely hearing their voices and seeing their personalities shine! I feel like I'm best buds with a lot of my Snapchat Baes now!  A lot of people are gas and I didn't know until I started watching their Snapchats! @SharonLeavy is my soul sista and I never knew!

I know I blog and everything, but a lot of the time I don't think my "quirkiness" translates very well, but with Snapchat it's a non-edited (sometimes filtered) version of my everyday life - which isn't that exciting I must add. If you don't follow me already I'm mainly giving out about my everything and anything or crying over something I've just watched all while I'm either in the nip or in my onesie.

I always win - it's one of my many, many talents. If you and your friend are bored it's a great and hilarious way to keep yourself occupied. You'd be surprised with how much you can contort your face into difference positions. The only rule  of this game is  *NO SCREEN GRABS*. @Deirdro (Viva Adonis) is a close runner-up in the competition might I add..

If you're as noisy (I definitely get it from my Mother) as I am, Snapchat gives you a great unedited glimpse into people's lives. I love stalking people on the internet so Snapchat is a great alternative to that and makes me actually think that I'm best friends with said person. As long as you're not stalking them in person it's graaaaaand.

It's fun and creative and you always have content. It's definitely a useful for bloggers and readers love to get to know the girls behind the blog they love to read! What I love about Snapchat is that there are no rules. Just do what you want, say what you want and have fun! Snapchat isn't to be taken too seriously!

As much as I love Snapchat I do have a few things that annoy me - Ironically I've ranted about all of these on Snapchat. But I do think there's some etiquette that needs to be upheld... I again want to just say I'm only slagging, I'm sure I'm guilty of a few, of these as well (Last point mainly...)

Yep, you know the ones that wait for your face to move a certain way and then *Grabs* I'm all for making ugly photo's on Snapchat - but lads why on earth would you want my triples chins taking up space on your phones, if you REALLY want a 8-chin photo all you need to do is ask - I'll be happy to send you my best shot.

I know it's more likely by accident, but seriously it's annoying AF.  If I want to watch your story, I will. It's really irritating getting a notification a few times a day for something that is irrelevant and boring. I don't care what you're watching/eating/doing (Sorry, not sorry) Feel free to chat to me - I love chatting but if you keep sending me your stories imma block you - Soz.

The OCD in me hates no knowing how long a story is- why did they get rid of that? The OCD in me needs to know how much time I need to commit to one story.  Once I start watching a story, I have to finish watching it or it will just drive me insane! I literally spend my days watching stories that seem to never end. If it's a long' un, I just need time to prepare myself...

Please tell me more about your life... I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but NO ONE CARES that much about what you're saying. Like that's a good chunk of your day spent talking to a phone and not actually living your life... Although being honest, I'm not better as I'm the prize fool for spending my days watching these stories! (Friends are different - You're legally obliged to watch 'em)

Speaks for itself really. If you're thinking of sending a picture of your bits to a stranger, take a cold shower and take a long look at your life and how you ended up here.
