How to Style Tartan for Spring

I absolutely love Tartan. I have two Tartan Coats, numerous tartan scarves, and most recently a pair of Tartan leggings from Topshop. I've wanted them for ages, and finally found them in a 16 out in Liffey Valley, so I was delighted with myself! Although it got me thinking, how do I wear them for Spring? As I'm trying to be a bit more thrifty lately, I decided to put together three outfit's with the leggings to try and make them as versatile as possible. This leggings are so lovely, feel (and look!) fantastic on. I'm definitely thinking of picking up another pair, as I love them so much, and they're not too expensive!

Look #1:
I love this look, and being honest it's probably my favourite out of all three! This look is definitely more dressy, but can still be passed off as casual. As the leggings are quite structured you can wear them as trousers as long as you have a top covering you hoohah, as we all know it's not a good look on anyone! I'd pair it with a crisp white shirt, that's slightly longer at the back, and layer a cute cropped jumper over it. I love a cropped jumper over a shirt, I just think it's so chic. Top it off with a statement necklace, when the collar of the shirt is buttoned all the way up it really shows of your necklaces, giving you the perfect excuse to pick it an extra nice one! I'd finish off this look with a classic pair of pointed shoes, and a clutch bag. I've been drooling over this one from Moschino, it's so cool and quirky! I love adding some bangles or a statement watch if you're rocking a clutch, as your eye is immediately drawn down to your wrist. I love this classic Marc Jacobs one!

Look #2 :
For a more casual Day time look, I'd keep it cool and casual. I'd rock the leggings with an over-sized top(no surprise there) and a pair of funky boots, with a little heel. I like wearing boots with a little heels, as I feel they make me walk with less of a slouch, and I feel my posture improving, shockingly. It's also nice to have a little bit of height, especially if I'm running around doing bits and bobs! Y'all know me and my coordination, so I'd rock a statement necklace with complimentary colours to tie it all in together. As it's still freezing, a nice leather jacket(I love this one from Topshop) is essential. It's not as warm as a Winter Coat, so you won't be roasting when the sun makes a rare appearance. Top it off with a nice spacious tote bag (this Celine bag is seriously on my wishlist) and a pair of nice sunglasses and you're set to go!

Look #3:
This is definitely the most casual out of the three. It would be perfect for a lazy Sunday going for brunch and doing a bit of shopping around town. As these leggings have greens and blues in them ,they don't scream "CHRISTMAS!" like the darker colours of tartan do, so it's easier to make them more Spring appropriate. For this look I paired it with a slouchy T-shirt. Nothing screams lazy Sunday's to me more then slouchy T-shirt's. They're more flattering then over-sized but you still get the comfort. I'd rock this look with converse, possible paired with frilly socks to give a feminine flair to this rather masculine (for me at least) outfit! Paired with a cropped leather jacket, and a snood that compliments the outfit, and you're set to go! Finish it off with some sunnies and a bit of lip balm, and you're set for a (stylish) lazy weekend!

Hope you liked my looks, and got some idea's how to incorporate your tartan into your Spring wardrobe, so you can wear your much loved pieces, a little bit longer!

Roger & Gallet "Fleur De Figuier" Review

I'm a perfume junkie, I want to say that off the bat. At any given time I've at least three on the go. my current favourite is Ellie Saab, and is has been for over a year. It's fresh and feminine and lingers on my skin for a long time. I also always get complimented when I wear it, so it must smell nice. However like clothes and makeup I'm quite fickle and find a new product that I love more than the last, time and time again. When I was given the chance to test out this Roger&Gallet fragrance I jumped at the chance. Now that's it's getting a bit milder out (milder, not warmer!) I want something a bit more fresh and fruity, one sniff of this and I was hooked.
First off the packaging is really pretty. As y'all know I'm a sucker for a nice package and the Roger&Gallet is really feminine and girly. Everything from the outer-packaging to the bottle itself is pretty, and decorated in Fig motifs. Now normally I'm not a fan of Figs scents, as they tend to overpower me. It's not a scent I'd normally pick up, but I'm so glad I tried this out. It smells absolutely divine, and I don't smell like an 'aul one. When I opened it, my Mum was in the room and of course wanted a sniff, and her immediate reaction was "Oh it Smell's like something from Jo Malone" Something I'd agree with. Both myself and my Mum love Jo Malone, but the prices are a bit expensive if it's your everyday perfume.
When I first sprayed it this baby I was greeted with a gorgeous fruity fragrance first. It's really light and fresh and reminds me of Summer, which hopefully comes sooner rather than later. I'm convinced I've got that SAD disorder, when you're all bummed because of the miserable weather. Today while walking to work It was really nice and mild, and hopefully next month, I'll be walking to work without a coat. Anyway it's a gorgeous fruity scent on first sniff, then moves into more floral and citrus tones, which I love. After time, it becomes a more woody scent, which thankfully isn't too strong as personally I'm really not a fan of woody scents. Although it's strong smelling ,it's surprisingly light and I feel it would be lovely for a night summer's day, enjoying the sunshine and having a picnic!
What I mainly love about this product is the value for money. At just under €40 you're getting 100ml of product, which is the starting price for most perfumes at 30ml, well the ones I like anyway! I've had a sniff of a few other Roger&Gallet fragrances and I'm really impressed with them all. Of course they're not all my taste, but they have quite a selection, so you're bound to find one that suits your taste! It would be a perfect Mother's Day gift, if you want to introduce your Ma's to something different. My Mum hadn't heard of the brand, and I already know she'll pinch this on me! If you're a fan of the fragrance they also have a completely range including a body wash and a body lotion, perfect for either layering the scent, or again it would make a lovely gift!
Roger&Gallet "Fleur de Figuier"* €39.50
Over all I'm thrilled that this is my first Roger&Gallet fragrance as I really do love it. I've been wearing it non-stop and already have gotten a few compliments off my friends. It's nice when people notice you've changed your fragrance. Roger&Gallet are available in a lot of pharmacies across the country, which is great if you're not living in the centre of Dublin, and have limited access to major department stores. If you're in Dundrum Town Centre "McCabes" on Level 3 stock Roger&Gallet if you're looking for something other than the usual brands, definitely check them out. My first impressions of a R&G scent has been a very positive experience, and I can't wait to try out some more of the scents. I can see this becoming a very nice love affair..

Lollitint Review

Another Benefit review for y'all. They seem to be my favourite brand of the moment. I love everything about their products, and surprisingly have never had a bad experience with any of the products. I had a funny feeling about "They're Real" before I really gave it a proper go, and now It's my favourite mascara (like the rest of the worlds!) If you missed my review you can view it HERE. Anyway on to the new product of the moment Lollitint, and gals it's right up my street!
Benefit have some fine tints, and I've been a huge fan of "Benetint" for donkey's years, ever since I purchased my first product "High Beam". It's been a love affair that's spanned 10 years so far! This shiny new product took the blogging world by storm, we all love a good tint! This new one is absolutely beautiful! I use it on my cheeks as opposed to my lips (I find it a little too drying on my lips, but with a  bit of lip balm it works quite well!). I absolutely love the look it gives me on my cheeks. It gives me a nice fresh, healthy glow and I constantly get asked, what blush I'm wearing, when I rock it. Fun Fact, Benetint was actually invented for a stripper to get pinker nipples- who knew! Anyway, today I'm talking to you about the newest baby to the tint family Lolli-tint.
Pink to make the Boys Wink, or Sian wink! As everything pink I'm immediately gravitated towards, cliche or wha? I'm such a typical girly girl! Like all Benefit packaging it's so blooming cute. Pink and with polka dots on. I know you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, but I judged this straight away and had crazy high hopes for it. I'm a really pink blusher kinda gal. If I could choose one product (excluding me brows, as let's face it I'm going no where without them) It would have to be blushes. They make me come alive, and more importantly look as fresh as a daisy, even when I'm not. I dip into coral tones every now and again but the majority of the times I choose a nice pink. Pink gives you more of a pretty, romantic healthy glow. When I first swatched this, I knew immediately it would be perfect on my cheeks.
I tried it on my cheeks, and I absolutely loved it. Nearly as much as Benetint, and I really do love Benetint. It will always hold a special place in my heart! As I've mentioned  It's a lot more candy pink then Benetint, which I'd say is more rose toned, where this is a lovely orchid colour. After using it a lot more on my lips It really is more hydrating, so if you're like me you find Benetint a bit drying on your lips, give this one a shot. Although I still recommend wearing a bit of lip balm before you apply it. as if your lips are like mine they're constantly dry. which is a real plus. It can be built up to give you your desired colour, or left just to lightly tint your lips, if you're going for a more natural look. It also looks gorgeous with a nice clear lipgloss over it, for a real WOW factor. I love multi-use products like these, as lets face it girls, these tints aren't cheap. They do last for what seems forever though, so you won't need to repurchase this over, and over, and over again as a little does go a long way.
I've been using this religiously since I got it a couple of weeks ago, and it's safe to say I'm in love. I love everything from the colour to the consistency. Like all tints, it's quite watery, but the colour that it leaves is fantastic. When I first swatched I was a bit worried about the colour pay off. I've been using this as a blush for a couple of weeks now, and it lasts at least 12 hours on my face - which is perfect for me, as I hate lugging around all my makeup on a daily basis! My bags always seems to be jam packed, and I'm always puzzled to what's making them so heavy, so I really don't need extra things to carry. When I use it on my lips, it lasts about 4 hours so, it's still a pretty durable product, considering most of my lip products last about an hour on my lips! Like I've mentioned before I would recommend using lip balm under it to keep your lips soft and subtle.
The bottle is the same size of the other tints, so you know it's going to last a good while. I love the shiny pink, it's so cute and girly. Benefit really are outstanding with their packaging. I've been using this for a couple of weeks now and  I feel I haven't even made a dent in the bottle and I've been using it on a near daily basis. The colour is leaves on my cheeks is so pretty, and really unusual. It's like nothing I've ever used. It leaves my cheeks a nice candy pink colour, that's not too dramatic, we don't want to be looking like something out of a pantomime, do we?! Again it can be built up, so if you want a nice flushed healthy colour, opt for one application, but if you're going on a night out and want to look a bit brighter than go for two or three light applications, to build up your desired colour!
Benefit "Lollitint"* €34.50

As you can see it's a gorgeous orchid colour when swatched(Colour of the year, dont'cha know) Once on my cheeks though I'd say it's more of a candy pink! It's extremely easy to work with, and I know it's going to be my go to blush for this Spring/Summer! Over all I'd say it's worth the €34.50, for two reasons. The colour is absolutely blooming beautiful, and it lasts for absolutely ages, so you're not going to be running of it any time soon. Definitely a product you should invest in!
