What I Wore | Sheinside Floral Dress

When Sheinside got in touch with me recently I wasn't too pushed. They don't carry plus size and I wasn't sure on the quality of the clothing, so I thought about it for a few days. I decided to give them a go and if I like the items I'd feature them and if I didn't I wouldn't - simple. Nothing lost, nothing gained. When my parcel arrived I was quite impressed. I went for the larger sized items and I'm glad I gave them a go..
Now it is on the short side- there's not denying that! If I was to wear it again I'd wear it with over the knee boots and tights for the Winter months! For $24 it's really good quality. It's nice and loose and would look nice both loose and cinched in with a belt. I think the print is great as it's not too Wintery and not too Summery! I love the keyhole detail at the front, it gives a nice flattering cut - especially for larger busts!
I only have one complaint and that's probably me.. the arms are quite snug - even with the elasticated bands. My arms wouldn't be disproportionate to my body so if you've larger arms I'd definitely give this dress a miss! If your arms are slim and you've a wider torso this dress will accommodate as it's nice and free flowing! If you're worried about the arm size I'd measure your arms just to be on the safe side! I ordered the size L and I'm a UK14/16 for reference.
Over all I love this dress, the sizing issue is nothing to do with the quality of the garment. I just prefer a looser sleeve. I'd love to see Sheinside expand and do larger sizes as they're a pretty cool website. I especially like their bags and accessories! If you're after cheap fast fashion check them out!

What I Wore | Summer Florals

Summer seems to have come back for a day in Dublin! I was working today, so I wore my new Summer dress that I picked up from Penney's last week. I picked it up in 2 colours actually. This blue colour and a gorgeous orange colour too. I Snapchatted the shopping trip (Bowfabulous - come say Hello!)
So as it was 18 degrees today I wanted to get my legs out. I wore the Nkd Skin Instant tan by Vita Liberata and while I like the colour the first sign of a splash of water it comes off - so unfortunately for me this isn't one I'd wear again. I love the colour of it, but my nerves would be gone if I was to wear it again. I'm normally a Cocoa Brown gal, but had none of the "Lovely Legs" left!

I also just got my hair chopped! I was so sick of my old hair. It had been dyed and hadn't been cut since before I went travelling so I decided to go for the chop! I wanted a change and I just bit the bullet and I absolutely love the outcome. It's amazing how a new haircut can make you feel! I went to Hermans in Dundrum and it cost me €49.50 so not too bad for a decent cut!
I absolutely love this dress though. I'm totally going back to pick up another one. It's light and airy, but would be the perfect transitional piece for Autumn/Winter! I'd wear it with a cropped leather jacket, a fedora hat and some cute ankle boots. Penney's have loads at the moment if you're on the lookout for some nice edgy ankle boots!

Lady Voluptuous London | Phoebe Dress

My gorgeous friend George, who I'm sure a lot of you know as Fuller Figure Fuller Bust has recently designed some amazing dresses for Lady V London. Her clothing line is called Lady Voluptuous and it has a style for everyone, whether you love a good bodycon dress or a nice flared skirt!  She's designed some amazing dresses in sizes 16-32 and it's amazing! A lot of plus sizes stop at a size 24, but George was adamant that she wanted to be as inclusive as possible and I couldn't be prouder.

The Phoebe Dress stood out to me most. I gravitate towards flared skirts more as not a fan of Bodycon dresses (But the Ursula Dress is UHMAZING). It's probably to do with my lack of any sort of bum though! My style varies a lot on my mood. Some days I want to rock converse and ripped jeans, but some days I want to dress up to the nines and the Phoebe is the dress for that occasion.  I absolutely love this dress, it was love at first sight. They have an awesome selection of colours, but for me it was between the Cream Pink Rose Floral or the Pink Flamingo. I, of course chose the floral though - so predictable!

I ordered the 16 and it fit like a dream. I'm between a 14 and a 16 and the 16 fits well on my boobs. So if you do have a larger bust I'd say size up! They have so many gorgeous prints too. The quality is superb. It has been my first experience of Lady V and I'm so impressed. The dress is really well made and even comes with a little petticoat to give the skirt that bit of flare. I love the sleeves. I don't mind my arms, but in general I like a little cap sleeves. The sleeves are nice and loose so if your arms are bigger they'll fit comfortably. There is a little bit of stretch in the dress, which sits in and hugs you in all the right places. I haven't felt so confident wearing a dress in a long while. As I've mentioned I absolutely adore the pattern, it's so "me" and I feel so prim and proper in it.  I got a similar dress made in Vietnam with a white background and pink flower design, so it's definitely a print I love!
Overall I think it's an excellent venture that George has embarked on. You can tell how passionate she is about it, and all her hard work has paid off. Priced at just under €75 I found them extremely reasonable. The quality is excellent and the fit is second to none. I feel so fantastic in this dress, something I am struggling with lately as a lot of my clothes are too big and I just don't feel nice in them anymore. I only wish I could wear this dress every day! If you're after something more every day the Lyra dress is amazing. It can be worn for so many occasions and it would be the perfect wardrobe staple. My first taste of Lady Voluptuous has been fantastic and I'll be definitely picking up a few more pieces!

What I Wore | Casual Saturday

Like I've said countless times I'm no "Fashion Blogger" I'm just a normal plus size girl that loves fashion and I want to share as much of my outfits as possible, even the ones that are quite boring. I wore this last week to the cinema and for a few drinks after. It's nothing special, but it's comfy!
The top is H&M and is a handy little number. I took it traveling, it's so versatile. You can wear it casually and you can wear it more dressy. I paired it here with my favorite jeans from Topshop which are literally the comfiest pair of jeans ever. I've had them for ages now and they only get better with wear. If you're like me and you're losing weight whack these babies in the dryer and they'll come out nice and tight again!
The outfit is really simplistic. Sometimes I like stripping back and just being effortless. I find at the moment I'm quite dressed up a lot of the time, the exception being Friday which is mainly my free day! Ripped jeans are an essential for me on my casual days - Only when sweat pants or PJ bottoms aren't acceptable. I have noticed I only have one pair of jeans that don't have rips in them, so I'm going to have to change that soon!
For accessories, I kept it simple with one big statement necklace! I've had this one for years and although a bead has fallen out it still looks good as new and you can't notice it at all! I slicked back my hair in a high ponytail so it would be out of my face. To complete the look I rocked a red lip (107 Kate Moss for Rimmel) and some sassy shades!

What I Wore | Cape Blazer

Whenever I'm getting ready for work I also leave this blazer. I don't know why. Perhaps I find it a bit too dressy? The other day I decided to be bold and rock it with my new Yours Clothing trousers. When in doubt of what to wear I always rock all black. It's effortless, timeless and being totally honest it makes me feel like a bad b*tch!

The focal point of this outfit is definitely the Cape Blazer. I saw it on Louise from Style Me Curvy and I had to have it! I picked it up in Soho Boutique in St Stephen's Green Shopping Centre. They only had a 14 and a 10. The 14 was too big on the shoulders and I chanced my arm and the size 10 fitted well! The 12 would have been perfect, but the 10 still fits well enough. It just goes to show to try things on! It's so amazing, and I knew I'm going to wear tons of wear out of it!
I paired it with a statement necklace and a pair of bad ass sunglasses from Penney's! I wore an Evans top that I've had for ages. I picked up the 16 and it has ample room for my bust and is so incredibly comfortable for work. It's light and airy and is perfect for the lovely heatwave we've been having! I picked it up before my trip so it's not available anymore, but they have something similar here. I tied my hair up in a tight pony and added my all time favourite Lipstick from Rimmel's Kate Moss collection. It's colour #107
I wore these Black Jacquard Slim Leg Trousers* that I've been wearing to work for well over a month now. I chose a size 16, and only wish they came in a 14 as they are quite a generous fit. They're so comfortable as they have an elasticated waist at the back and have a nice loose leg so you're not too restricted sitting at a desk. If you're between sizes I'd recommend sizing down as they run a little bit big. The quality is really good and they still look brand new, even when I've worn them at least twice a week. If you're on the lookout for a smart work pant that is extremely comfortable then give these babies a go!

What I Wore | Studio Eight Jumpsuit

This is going to be a nice short and sweet post from me today! Today was a busy day, but I wanted to be both stylish and comfortable. I had to go to work but then be suitable dressed for an evening function too, so it was a bit of a tricky one. I knew what I had to throw on however. My new Jumpsuit from Studio 8
New Plus Size brand (Sister company of Phase Eight) Studio Eight has launched today bringing y'all more choice for the Plus Size market. Currently their size selection is 16-24. They're on the pricer side, but you get what you pay for. I'm all for choice and it's great that some Plus Size women have the choice to wear higher quality and well made clothes.
I chose to rock this Navy Jumpsuit and my boss immediately commented on it when I walked in - in a good way of course! I knew today was going to be one long ass day so I wanted to be comfortable and look chic at the same time. I had to order the Navy Zena Jumpsuit*, you could call it love at first sight. I'm wearing the size 16 and it's literally more comfortable then a pair of PJ's!
I added a pair of nude sandals and a gold and pearl necklace to give it a bit of a lift as well as one of my fav Speedy's. To finish it off I wore my new favourite sunglasses from Tiger Stores that set me back a grand total of €4! I can't fault this Jumpsuit at all. It's absolutely gorgeous. Although at €150 it's on the more expensive side BUT this will last you for years! It would also be perfect for travelling too!

Date Night with Yours Clothing

Now that I'm a working woman my wardrobe needs to be more geared towards items of clothes I can mix and match. I've too many pairs of ripped jeans and oversized T-shirts and not enough of "nice" clothes to take me from work to the bar etc. etc. Yours Clothing came to my rescue a few weeks ago and sent me this beautiful top, and I've worn it a few times already! A testimony really as I like to play favourites with my clothes!
This Sheer Dip Back Shirt* is the perfect addition to your Spring/Summer wardrobe. I paired this for a casual date night look. It's sheer so it's a little bit sexy, without giving too much away. I'm a sucker for floral prints so this was obviously my top of choice. I'm wearing a size 16 and it's a good fit. If you're between sizes I'd suggest sizing down as it's nice and flowy. If you were to wear it for work I'd pair it with slim trousers and just slip on a little tank top underneath as it is quite sheer.
I paired it with these jeans from trusty Penney's. If you're in between sizes and they're the best place to shop. They're cheap as chips at €13 for a pair of skinnies, that are actually skinny. I'm wearing the 14 here and they fit nice and snug. I like my jeans tight, it gives my non-existent arse a bit of a lift! I have a few pairs of these and they wash well. They're not as good or as stretchy as my favourite Topshop jeans, but they're not bad either! Yours Clothing also do some great jeans. They're a nice fit but with plenty of stretch to keep you comfortable. I have this pair:Indigo Blue Stretch Jeans that I wore to death until they became too big!
I love the High-Low cut of this top. Now I do think the High-Low has been done to death now over the past 5 years, and think it should be laid to rest for the most part but this top is so pretty and the slight gradual back just gives the top something a bit different and makes it perfect and flirty for a date night. For accessories I of course threw on a statement necklace and threw on some flats. I think for a casual date night flats are perfect. You'll be comfortable the whole night and if you end up going to the cinema after dinner you won't feel over dressed!

What I Wore: Topshop Ripped Jeans (Surprise,Surprise)

Another outfit post featuring the only item of clothing I seem to own, my Topshop ripped Jamie Jeans. I've recently purchased another pair as these ones are getting too big, so now I'll have two to alternate instead of washing these 3 times a week! I've even dried the bigger size in the dryer of doom that shrinks my clothes and they came out that nice and tight again, so I can get hopefully another month out of them. If anyone wants them just get in touch. They're a size 16, true to size with tons of stretch!
I wore this outfit to see what Bourjois has in store for the Summer last week. With work I like to dress up, so when it comes to my time off I like to throw on jeans and be casual. Obviously I can't rock up to nice events in PJ''s as much as I'd love that so these jeans and this tunic was the closest thing. I purchased both of these before travelling and they've served me well. My Mum even has her beady eyes on the tunic. It's from River Island and although I bought it in December they still have similar styles in at the mo.
I kept everything else really simple. I love simplicity for the most part when I'm not wearing mad shit in my hair and heavily beaded statement necklaces that is! I like putting together two simple pieces from my wardrobe and creating an outfit with accessories. As someone who spent her life savings travelling my budget is tight at the moment so accessories are a fun and cheap way for me to mix up my look!
The lovely Amy at Impulse Loves sent me this beaut of a necklace before Christmas and I swear I've worn it so much. It's literally my go to piece when I'm wearing black as it lifts the outfit without being too attention grabbing. I love the accent yellow flowers and especially as it brings life to this otherwise boring black and grey outfit. Although the piece is chunky it's not too heavy either so you're not being weighed down.
To complete the look I wore my worn out slipper pumps from Penney's that are literally falling apart. I'm not ready to say goodbye to them yet, even though I'm pretty sure they'll start talking soon. I've just yet to find another pair that are as comfortable and look as nice as they do on. I've funny baby looking feet so any shoe that makes them look halfway normal gets a thumbs up from me!

What I Wore | New Look Striped Dress

Last Saturday I went out to celebrate my good friend Hazel's Birthday. I hadn't been out in so long and I really wanted to dress up. As I'm between sizes at the moment I'm finding it increasingly difficult to find clothes that fit properly. As it was my first night out in ages I of course wanted to look my best and feel my best. My mum had very kindly bought me this dress the week before and I was anxious to wear it. At a bargain price of €20 it's definitely one of my favourite buys this year.
It's a good fit and extremely comfortable! The length is really good too, not too long and not too short. You could totally wear this for work as well. I'm all about versatility in my clothes at the moment and I don't like buying clothes that can't be worn for a couple of occasions. The 16 fitted better than the 14, so I opted for that. The 14 was a little shorter and tighter a cross the stomach area, something I'm conscious of so something I didn't want to draw attention to!
For accessories I added one of my favourite statement necklace my friends bought me for my birthday a few years ago from River Island. I've worn it loads and no gems have fallen off which is great, as normally the fall off within one wear! I also added a clutch I picked up in France last Summer. I also wore my new sandals from New Look, which are so comfortable and I was able to happily dance the night away! For my makeup I went for both a smoky eye and a bold lip. My lipstick is Mac's Candy Yum Yum.

Summer in The City - What to pack for a city break

As a city girl at heart I decided in collaboration with Lyst to come up with a post detailing all about Summer City Style. I hope to get away for a weekend (wishful thinking) at the end of the Summer and wanted to put together a post detailing on what to pack for a Summer break in a nice city. It will more than likely be hot, so you want to look stylish yet be wearing something practical. Lyst is a new website that helps you create lists (lysts) of all your favourite items and it even gives you a direct link to purchase, pretty handy if you're like me and like being organised.
As well as Lists, there is also heaps of inspiration that helps you on your way to achieving your dream look! The Long Lyst is where you pick up all this inspiration. The website is categorised into different tabs so it's really easy to navigate and you can narrow down your searches to whatever you want.  It's great if you're only browsing but want to put everything from different brands into the same lyst, so once pay day comes you know exactly what you want. I created a Lyst for Summer in the City so if you're nosey like I am take a peak. The website is updated daily so you're always up to date with your favourite brands! I'm a high street girl at heart so obviously Topshop, Zara and Asos are going to scream out first but you're spoilt for choice with an array of designer items too! As you know bags are my vice, so I'm lusting after this gorgeous Givenchy beauty!
Overall it's a fun website. I love putting things together and online shopping. The amount of times I virtually shop, adding things to my basket (just to see how much it ads up to) is crazy. It's therapeutic and it gives me some outfit inspiration for the week ahead! Instead of doing work I've spent the last 2 hours on it, wishing I wasn't as poor as I was so I could clear out Topshop and Zara! It's a fun website and I'm glad I was introduced to it! Anyway I'd like to show you guys some outfit inspirations for a Summer City Break. I've picked Rome as my inspiration. It's a great city, full of style and culture so you'd want to look nice while sightseeing!

In terms of packing for a city break I'd only bring on a small carry on suitcase to avoid those horrendously expensive baggages charges. Every where now does "cabin sized" suitcases, just make sure they compile with your airline limitations as paying X amount at the boarding care for an error is hardly the best start to a nice city break away! Basing this on 4 days I'd pack the following in my carry on case bar the handbag, as I'd carry that with me.

  •  3 day time T-shirts
  • 1 evening top
  • 2 dresses (1 dressy, 1 more casual)
  •  2 pairs of shorts (1 denim, 1 dressy)
  •  1 pair of sandals
  • 1 pair of runners
  •  1 pair of heels.
  • 1 clutch
  • 1 large bag
  • 1 necklace (to go with everything)
  • 1 pair of Sunglasses
  • 1 hat

Summer In The City 1

Day Time Outfit Inspiration
Shorts are a must have for holiday's. They're comfortable, functional and can be worn with a lot! Denim you can't got wrong with. They're really comfy and they're extremely versatile for a city break. Where them with Vans and a T-shirt, tie up your hair and rock some Sunglasses for a casual stylish tourist look. You can wear denim shorts the whole weekend, just make sure you don't spill any gelato on them ;) I always bring a back up pair for obvious reasons, these gorgeous floral shorts from Topshop can really be worn casually or you can pair them with heels for a night out! They're lightweight too and will look as cool with vans, as they will sandals! I always pack jeans with me. My all time favourites are my Topshop Jamie Jeans. They have the perfect amount of stretch to the and they go with a lot. Again they will go with any T-shirt or you dress them up with a Lace Top and heels if it's a bit colder at night- just don't forget to ad a statement necklace! If you're wanting to be extra stylish rock a boho dress, sandals and a hat! The lightweight material of the dress will keep you cool and the hat will protect you from the midday sun - all while looking fabulously chic.
_________________________________________________________________________________

Untitled #123
Night Time Inspiration
I always find getting my day clothes no problem, but when it comes to packing for the night I find it a little more tricky. I also bring at least two dresses with me though. One dress that's dressy and to be worn the Saturday night and then another dress that can be dressed up or down as needed, that way your bases are covered. I also bring a pair of dressy shorts and a top if I'm not in the mood to prance around in a dress after a long day of sightseeing. I'm optimistic and always pack a pair of heels, but if my feet are killing me from walking around all day I'd opt for a pair of sandals in a neutral colour. Never underestimate the power of a statement necklace. It can change your outfit from dab to fab and take you from a day time look to an evening look in seconds. They're also easy to pack, I normally slip them into socks so they don't break en route! Also pack a few lippies to give your makeup that extra evening look. I'll do a makeup post soon to compliment this post if anyone's is interested!

What do you guys pack for a city break? I'd be curious to know!

Jord | Sidney Wood Watch Review

Every now and again something intrigues me. I'm not normally a watch person, I'm more of something tacky around my neck and maybe a stacked rings. I was introduced to Jord Watches and loved how unusual they were so I was happy to try it on for size. I unfortunately got the wrong size, completely my fault as I measured my wrist too big. My wrists are actually surprisingly slim compared to the rest of me! However I'm just going to get a link taken out and it will be A-OK. When I first thought of a wood watch I was a bit apprehensive and assumed it would resemble something extremely manly but then I saw the little rose gold number and knew immediately it was going to be mine.
The watch came beautifully packaged in a little wooden box - very snazzy. I immediately tried it on and fell in love. It's so classy and although they're expensive (for me anyway) priced at $199 you can tell how well they're made. They're lightweight and if it's raining you're covered as they're water resilient, but not waterproof so don't wear it in the shower or anythaang. The Rose Gold Sidney Watch* is so feminine, the diamante detail on the face are gorgeous and ads a nice little touch to make it that extra bit girly. If you're not the girly girl type however they're a pretty decent selection of other watches too!
If you'd like to get your watched sized by the lovely folk at Jord there is a $10 fee and your watch will arrive and be ready to wear immediately! This service is great if you're on the smaller or larger side so you can rest assure your watch will arrive and fit you perfectly. They email you a guide on how to measure your wrist too so you can rest assure the sizing will be correct when it reaches you! The website is really easy to use and so you're able to navigate it without any fuss. If you're wondering on what to get your Dad for Father's Day they have loads of cool ones that I'm sure any Dad would love!
Jumper: Topshop
Overall I'm very impressed with the quality and I think it's a quirky piece to add to my jewellery collection. The shipping from the States was a lot quicker than I anticipated, which is always a plus! If you're on the lookout for a watch that's a bit different- then this is the watch for you!

Curvissa Review

Curvissa recently got in touch with me wondering would I be interested in reviewing some of their pieces along with some fellow Plus Size Bloggers. I love supporting Plus Size brands, so I eagerly said YES! I choose a Junarose top and trousers combo. I'm all for style and I'm all for comfort so combine the two and I'm one happy bunny!
I decided to rock them together for a fun and quirky look. For this look I paired them with an embellished belt to give it a more glam edge. For another, more casual look, I'd tuck in the top into the trousers to give the illusion of a jumpsuit. Both the top and the trousers are really comfortable and there is plenty of room in them. I went for the size 16 and only wish I got a size 14! It's okay though, as I do like things on the loose side. If you're in between sizes I would definitely recommend sizing down if you like a more tailored look, like me. I would totally consider taking these trousers in to make them more of a slim leg, just so they'd be a little bit more work appropriate, as I love the print.

I didn't want to go over board like I usually do on jewellery. The neckline is nice, so for this look I didn't ad my signature statement piece, but in future for a more dressy occasion I definitely will! I found the trousers look nicer paired with a heel, so I wore my new New Look Heels that I'm obsessed with. They're incredibly comfortable and I can walk for miles and miles in them with ease.I totally want to snap them up in all colours! To complete the look I such wore some sunnies that I picked up in Penney's for next to nothing. I love the shape and they pretty much suit any occasion and outfit. Over all I love the print and the quality and this outfit get's a 4/5 from me. The only downfall was the trousers are a little too loose for my liking as a 14/16 I should of opted for the 14 :)

What I Wore | Yours Clothing Lilac Rose Skater Dress

I had a few meetings this week that I wanted to dress up for and the only dress I had in mind was this one from Yours Clothing. The Lilac and Black Rose Print Skater Dress* is beautiful. It's not a colour I'd normally choose but when I got the option I knew I should give it a whirl. When I first tried it on I wasn't sure as the pleating is up quite high and I didn't feel it was at all flattering on my body. I did however try it with a belt and loved the look and decided that it was a winner. The belt cinches me in and emphasises my waist and the fuller skirt flows out over my hips. I've always loved skater dresses. They're so versatile. I wore this dress in a business setting, but had on a pair of heels and you're all set for a night out!
For accessories I added a gold chain belt that I picked up late last year in Penney's as well as a necklace I bought the last time I was in Paris. I love the gold with the Lilac I think it definitely warms it up. To compliment the black trim I added black pumps and a black bag. I'm not normally one to go match-matchy with handbags and shoes but it worked well. Yours Clothing has a gazillion skater dresses if this one isn't for you, and being honest they're not a bad price for the quality. I went for a size 14 and it fits really well. It's got enough stretch that the material under your arms is comfortable as well. I find sometimes sleeveless dresses can be a bit irritating under the arms if they don't have the right amount of stretch!
Over all it's another positive review for Yours Clothing. I've been working with them for years and I have yet to be disappointed with their quality and their collection is only going from strength to strength. They've tons of really fashion forward clothing most going up to a size 32 which is a great achievement and more plus size companies should follow suit! They also have a new website which seems easier to navigate. It was a bit slow at first but they seemed to have fixed it and is running nice and fast, which is great for impatient folk like myself! I also rocked my Ray-Bans that I picked in Thailand, I'm totally in the market for another pair. I've two real pairs that I love to death, so I think I'm going to have to add the Club-masters to my collection - They're an investment right?
