Goodbye 2014, Hello 2015

Well, well, well It's been a while. The past few months I've put the blog on the back burner and lost interest. Blogging for me will never be anything other than a hobby. I commend people that forge careers off the back of Blogs, as I can only imagine how difficult and time consuming it is. For me I love my little space. I love I can leave it when I want and pick it back up when I can. I do however feel significantly bad for not posting as often as I have in the previous years, I got lazy, I lost motivation while focusing on other area's of my life and my creativity was non-existent. As you can see I have a new Blog Layout which is going to kick me into gear too. I purchased it from Pipdig and can't recommend them enough! I've thought of deleting my blog a number of times for various reasons, but that's just impulsive Sian coming through. I won't don't worry. I'm just trying to find myself again. It will 100% be a travel Blog on my few months around the world, so I do hope you're looking forward to that. I can't wait to document everything from my outfits to the local food and sights!
I was meant to be on a Flight to Phuket today, but I'm not. As a result of losing over 4 stone (A post coming on that this week) I developed Gallstones and on the 22nd of December I had me Gallbladder whipped outta me. I'm on the road to recovery now and I feel about 60% back to normal. I'm ordered to rest for the next few weeks and all going well I'll be on a Flight to Bangkok on the 16th of January. I've had to delay my Phuket trip until after New Zealand but all in all I was incredibly lucky. I was very fortunate enough to have good health insurance and an excellent Surgeon and I was in and out of the Hospital in 24 hours. It was really a blessing in disguise finding out I had Gallstones as If I got it when I was away I'd of most certainly have to come home. I'm not going to lie at the time I was a bit gutted until I looked at the bigger picture. I wasn't meant to be flying today and starting my adventure for a reason I'll probably never know, so I just accepted it and focused on getting better. Now that I'm on the mend I want to put all my energy into this little blog as I quit my job the day before my Op (Scary times!) and have a lot of free time between now and the 16th.

I will Love you and Leave you now but I wish you all the very best for 2015. Thank you for staying with me. I will do a proper post New Years Day on what I learnt this year, so I will speak to you very soon!

Men's "Beauty" Last Minute Gift Guide

I see blogs full and full of gift idea's for women, for me that's the easy part. Women are so much easier to buy for than the men in your lives! So I've rounded up a few last minute gift idea's (if you're anything like me) to buy for all the lads in your life to make sure they're smelling lovely. D Day is so close now and I'm running around like a headless chicken, as I'm off to have my Gallbladder removed on Monday! Long story but all will be okay soon! Happy last minute shopping Lads!
Rodger & Gallet
I'm such a huge fan of this brand. The Fig Perfume (Review Here) is what I've been wearing all Winter. It smells so good. My Dad is a big fan of this range too and I may just surprise him on Christmas Morning with this as he lost his last bottle on a family trip to Paris. He loves the stuff and I can see why. It's not too expensive, but still has that luxury feel to it, and they have it presented beautifully for Christmas. L'Homme Spore is a woody and masculine scent with top notes of spearmint and lemon, heart notes of ylang yland layered on a woody base of amber, vetyvert and patchoulli. This gift set is priced at under €43 which is a bargain and like I said comes beautifully wrapped - again if you're like me and absolutely rubbish at wrapping presents. If you're looking to get this last minute here's the link to all stockists of Rodger and Gallet in Ireland! The men in your life will only be Deliraa.

The Body Shop
Who doesn't like the Body Shop? I for one am such a huge fan, as so is my Dad. I've opted for something different this year as I always pick him up something in the Body Shop. His Birthday is in January so I'll probably cave and get him something for that, but for Christmas this year I've vowed to get him something a bit different. The Body Shop have such a good collection of gifts and they also gift wrap beautifully, so again no fuss, no muss for you. All the products are fantastic, my Dad has been swearing by them for years and years. They have gift set's and something for every budget too, which is great. You can also make your own little gift set and have them wrap it up nice for you so your gift is that little more personal. If they're unfamiliar with the products I'd suggest a smaller gift set like the one above, so they can test it out and see what products they love the best - and the next occasion you can go for the bigger version!
Boots No.7
I'm such a big fan of Boots, especially their No.7 range. It's affordable and the quality of the products is great. As we all know Boots do loads of 3 for 2 gifts so you can kill two birds with the one stone on this one. This Set comes with a cute wash bag, which let's be honest is always handy to have for the gym/holidays etc. It's also great for a last minute Kris Kindle present priced at €25. I love getting gift sets for Christmas, as I'm always using bits and bobs and I love testing new products. Men are notorious for not using face products so a little gift set like this could get them hooked on the beauty bug and will give them a gentle push in the right direction and if it's your fellah, you'll reap the rewards of them spelling lovely!

The Giants Causeway - Co Antrim, Northern Ireland

On Monday I escaped up North for a relaxing night away to Belfast. Things are stressful at the moment. I will come back and I will be back with a bang, but for now I'm not making any empty promises. It's probably going to be quiet for awhile and I appreciate everyone bearing with me. I'll have a few Christmas Posts up over the weekend all things going well. Anyway, we went to the very top of Ireland to see the Giants Causeway, to get away from everything if I'm honest.  I wanted to escape even if it's for 2 days. Being by the sea calms me and with so much going on I just wanted to switch off. It was beyond freezing and we called it a day the second the Hailstones poured down on us but it was nice to see that part of Ireland. I 100% want to go back in the warmer months and really get a feel for it.

There's so many places in Ireland I want to visit and I'm making it my mission to see as much as possible while I have the chance and the freedom to just go for it. I'm a bit of a lost soul at the time being and not being tied down to anything is both a blessing and a curse so I'm trying to make the most of this freedom before I'm complaining to you all about the mundaneness of everyday working life. The Giants Causeway is so beautiful and I can only imagine how much nicer it is in the Summer! I fully plan on going back and getting even more snap happy. There's interesting Myths and Legends on how it was built if you're interested, It's approximately 3.5 hours from Dublin, more if you're like us and stop off for a bite to eat. Little Wings on the Lisburn Road in Belfast was our pitstop of choice and it get a big thumbs up from us!
