Look Magazine for Simply Be

Last week we saw the launch of Look Magazine for Simply Be. Unfortunately I couldn't make it over to the launch (I was proper gutted) The collection isn't too large, but there's a few gems in there! It's not up everyone's street but I love some of the quirkier pieces and like Plus Size girls are given more choice. This Collaboration with LOOK magazine is really exciting so I've decided to take my two favourite pieces (The matching Bomber Jacket and Palazzo Pants) and show three different looks. Both pieces are priced at £40 which is think is reasonable, especially because you can wear them to death this S/S '14
Untitled #96
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, this Bomber Jacket. I've always wanted one and I think it's the perfect addition to your Spring wardrobe. It's not too heavy and not too light and is extremely versatile. I've paired it here with ripped jeans and a printed tee. Throw on a pair of heels and you're ready for some cocktails or leave it with flats for your perfect day outfit. This is probably my favourite look!
Untitled #97
This is a more work appropriate outfit. I love these pants and while I know they're not everyone's style they're perfect for Spring/Summer as they'll keep you cool in the heat. To dress it up I've added a crisp white shirt. As it's still quite chilly at the moment (although the sun is shining) It's wise to rock a lighter jumper to layer up. I've chosen Grey as it's less harsh than black and will set off a silver statement necklace perfectly.
Untitled #98
If you're feeling a bit bolder I'd totally rock these two pieces together. I'd keep the outfit really simple though. With a basic black camisole. I've chosen a flowy one as it would look great tucked in or just left flowing as the look quiet casual. A fitted one would also look nice though. Add cute sandals a statement clutch and a simply necklace and you're ready to rock and roll. Just don't forget the shades!

Over all you can see that these two pieces are quiet versatile! I'm an avid reader of LOOK Magazine and of course I love Simply Be so I was excited when I initially heard about this collaboration and although, as I've mentioned it's not everyone's cup of tea it's fantastic that such a big weekly magazine is taking an interest in Plus Size fashion! You can SHOP THE COLLECTION HERE. What are your thoughts?

Effaclar Duo+ Review

If there's one product I'd recommend it's Effaclar Duo from La Roche-Posay It's one of my favourite skincare products of all time. It's literally a miracle worker and it doesn't cost a million and one euro. It's easily available and at €20 it really won't break the bank. When the Effaclar Duo+* landed on my doorstep I was so excited to try it. I've been using this for over a month now, and It's been a lifesaver when I was sick the last few weeks and it literally saved me from looking like someone dug me up. The Effaclar Duo+ is an improved version of the Effaclar Duo formula. The texture is a little bit thicker than the original, and promises 24 hour hydration. It's a great primer I've found as it leaves a nice matte finish on the skin. It's not sticky or oily and sinks in to the skin effortlessly. I prefer the creamy texture to the original and feel it's slightly more soothing.

Like the original it is great for blemishes, reduces redness, combat blackheads as well as keeping oil at bay. I don't have oily skin however, but this still works wonders for me! So what's the difference between the two? The Effaclar Duo+ has been formulated to reduce the red marks and scarring that blemishes can sometimes leave behind. I think this is fantastic, as scarring can be a real downer buzz for anyone. It contains Procerad which is exclusive to La Roche Posay which is the active ingredient that helps the scarring. I'm not going to go into the nitty gritty as I find technical reviews rather boring and I skim over it again. I don't suffer exceptionally badly with my skin, but it's a great security blanket to know whenever I do get breakouts this baby will sort me out! Over all I'd wholeheartedly recommend the Effaclar Duo+ and once you try it you'll never look back!

What I Wore: Aztec Jeans

Jeans:Forever21+,Shirt: New Look, Sunglasses:Ebay, Necklace:Accessorize

Just a quick Outfit of the day for y'all.
Today the sun was shining and I met one of my friends for a spot of lunch in town. We went to Damson Diner on South William Street and it was delish! South William Street is jam packed full of nice restaurants and neither of us have gone before so we decided to take a chance. The Food, the Staff and the Interior are all fab and we'll be back again soon! They've great promo's on during the week so we'll definitely be checking them out for them ;). It's not the cheapest spot for lunch (Especially if you treat yourself to desert!) but it's definitely different! I was a little bit late for getting up this morning and spotted these jeans in the wardrobe and just pulled them on, and decided to work my outfit around them! I then searched high and low for a nice black top that wouldn't be too warm and not be too cold, and I found my oversized shirt from New Look. I say oversized, but I just bought it a few sizes bigger. I threw on a  statement necklace from Accessorize, tied my hair up in a messy bun and wore my huge sunnies and hot footed it out the door! It's a really easy outfit to wear and it was perfect for this sunshine!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend :)

What I Wore | Boohoo Plus Size Daisy Print Dress

When Boohoo launched a Plus Size range first impressions we're okay. I felt the range lacked any individuality and I personally felt the brand was trying to coin in on the whole Plus Size thing. When I wrote my Boohoo+ post last month it had vastly improved and I was tempted by a few things. As things are cheap as chips last Pay Day I picked up a few bits and bobs, this dress included(it's since sold out). I decided to size up three times for this dress, as I instinctively knew the sizing would be off, and I'm so glad I did. First impressions of this dress was positive. It's cheap and cheerful and is perfect for this time of year. I love the print and I love the cut. The length is typically below my knee, but is probably an effect of sizing up, but regardless of sizing up or not I do think it's a longish dress. For a lot of people that's a great plus, but for me who likes things short I added a belt.  The quality is grand for the €25, you really can't go wrong. It's comfortable and easy to wear, and if it came out in another print I'd buy that two. I also purchases the Skort and a Black Skater Dress, both of which I also sized up for. The dresses quality isn't great, but it serves it's purpose and the skort is fab (Outfit Post real soon), just the sizing is a bit off. I don't want to be too critical of the range as it's still in it's early stages. I just hope the take on board some of the criticism in regards to sizing!

I wore this the other day when I was running around doing some bits and bobs. I swear I've to catch up on so many things! I'm trying to get through the work I missed. I wanted to be comfortable, casual but still put together so I decided to rock my Wedge Trainers from Aldo. I got them this time last year and still love them. They're incredibly comfortable and I love the solid black. I have a pair with white soles from ASOS but these babies are so much nicer. They were around €100 at the time and I was a bit apprehensive about spending that much but they've really served me well over the past year. To toughen up the look I rocked my Yours Clothing Biker Jacket with Zips* It's so soft, it feels like butter and works well with the majority of my wardrobe. I've worn it so much over the past two months and someone always compliments me when I wear it. My hair has been driving me nuts over the past while, and I'm getting rather fed up with it, so I just chucked it up in a messy bun. I'll be sorting it out next week, and I'm thinking some Ombre for the Summer! I swore I'd steer clear of Blonde after the last time, but I'm fickle like that. Rocked with oversized Sunglasses and a red lip and I was ready to rock and roll!

My EBAY Wish List

As someone who isn't rolling in cash, I'm always on the lookout for bargains. I've been turning to Ebay more and more to get some fab bargains. Sure most of what I order is from China and takes around 14 days to reach me, but chances are by the time it arrives I've completely forgotten what I bought and it's like Christmas has come early. I'm always browsing Ebay, and making wishlists so I decided I'd share with you my wishlist at the moment! I've ordered some of these in anticipation of this week's pay cheque, but I'm not too bothered. I feel like I haven't been spending much money at all (Bar food of course! nom nom nom) so I wanted a few quirky bits for Spring!
Untitled #95
Vintage Sequins
Ebay is full of tacky sequin jackets in all sizes. It's all a matter of being in the right place at the right time to snap them up. The tackier the better in my eyes! They also go for relatively cheap (€40-€50) so if you're a sequinned fiend like myself keep an eye out! My advice is to look throughout the warmer months, as the second the Christmas countdown begins they'll hike up the price ;) Type in Over-sized instead of "Plus Size" if you want more options by the way!

Designer Inspired Bag
Now I'm a huge fan of my designer bags, and would happily stay in for 6 months and save cash to afford a designer bag. I'm not really that much of a shoe person, so I focus all my energy on nice bags, but my bank balance has seen better days. I've been lusting after a Celine for so long, but chances are unless I win the Lottery tonight I'll still be lusting. I want a Celine inspired bag however, and plan on buying a tote bag(with no logo's) to keep me going until I can get the real deal. So it's more of a dupe than a downright copy.

Quirky Sunglasses
I'm obsessed with Sunglasses, and have far too many to even count. When I saw my Pal Callie posted these babies on Instagram, I knew I needed them in my life. I picked up a pair for €18 including Post and Packaging which isn't too bad. They're a bit cray but I'm not too bothered. I haven't got them yet, but keep an eye out on my Instagram (Bowfabulous) for some sunglasses spam! I can't wait to rock them this Summer at a any Festival that I can go to! Thanks for the Inspo Cal Pal!

Statement Jewellery
Like everything else Jewellery isn't an exception, I love tack. Everything over the top and "too much" are right up my alley. Ebay for me is like Aladdin's cave full or tacky necklaces and bracelets at knock down prices. As my mum deals with wholesale Jewellery I know how much it costs, so that's why I go to Ebay in search of my statement jewellery as it's a lot cheaper than stores! I will warn you though, you need to look through loads of shite to get some hidden gems!

Okay, these won't be on your typical Ebay Wish List, but you can get these babies as cheap as chips on here! I don't wear fake eyelashes that much as I'm not too bothered by them but every now and again I want some and it pains me to part with €9 for one single pair. On Ebay you can get them as cheap as €5 for 10 pairs and you don't pay P&P. These are a must if you wear Eyelashes and you'll never go back to forking out a million yo-yo for one pair again!

Phone Covers
I've only really gotten into Phone Covers. Normally as long as my phone is protected and the phone cover is cute I'm sorted. However this Moschino Bunny Phone Cover is too cute not to buy! It's cute and girly and your phone is relatively protected. It's not that hard to hold and just looks cute. My Marc Jacobs one is still my favourite but every now and again it's fun to mix things up! Ebay is awash with phone covers and I search "3D Iphone5 Covers" and you get the cutest ones popping up for around a €5 - Bargain!

Valentino Inspired Shoes
Now I'm a bit wary about buying shoes online, but I generally size up if only for the extra width as a lot of these sellers come from China and I've heard notorious issues with their shoes being teeny tiny! These Valentino dups are so cute and are the perfect heel height. Not too high and not too low. I personally love the fushia pair and think they'd look fab with a pair of white skinny jeans and a blouse and for the price you really can't complain too much!

Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm Review

Whenever I'm feeling sick, the first thing I notice is my skin. It generally looks as bad as I feel, so over the past month I've been trying religiously to look after it. Over the past month I've had two products that have been lifesavers, that I'll be sharing with you this week. The First being a product from one of my tried and tested skincare brands Merumaya. I've become great at taking off the 'ol makeup every night before bed (two years ago I was woeful) and no matter how late it is, or how tired I will take it off. I'm lucky to get a few samples so I've always something to try out, so I never run out of cleansers. I was a bit late on the Bandwagon of Cleansing Balms, but after trying the Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm* I'm converted. I've had a rather pleasant experience with Merumaya before when I tested their Iconic Youth Serum so I'm glad to add this to my Merumaya collection. First things first it feels like a luxury cleansing balm. If this was a blind test I would think it was a lot more expensive than £14.50. The Iconic Youth Serum is on the higher end of the scale at £34.50 but it's worth every penny, so I had high hopes for the Melting Cleansing Balm. If you're new to the Cleansing Balm scene like myself, I'd recommend you giving this a whirl first to test the waters.

The Cleansing Balm itself is very rich and silky and massages into my skin effortlessly. It turns into a milky consistency once water is added, making it easy to remove. You apply it onto dry skin, massaging it in until it begins to liquefy, emulsifying makeup. You then add water and continue to massage until it turns into a milky consistency, then remove with a face cloth. It takes off my makeup with ease and doesn't leave any greasy residue on the skin. It's recommended that you remove the product with a cloth. If you're like me and a Liz Earle Fan you'll know what the drill. You get a deeper cleanse and you're skin feels softer if you use a cloth. But If you're stuck once or twice you still get an adequate cleanse from just your fingers. The packaging is great too. I love the squeezy tube as it's more hygienic than some other cleansing balms on the market that come in a pot. It also makes it easier to pack if you're going away for a weekend or on holidays, as pots weight a lot and can be a  bit of a nightmare to pack. Over all this is a great product. I'm a huge fan of Merumaya and I harp on about their Iconic Youth Serum to everyone and anyone who will listen, and I think I'll be doing the same for this Melting Cleansing Balm. It's Cheap, cheerful and works a treat!

Merumaya now offer the same shipping costs to Ireland as they do in the UK, which is fantastic. I know myself getting stung with extra shipping charges is a bit off putting, so I'm delighted to say shipping is only £3.95 or free if over £40! It's great that a UK company are looking after their Irish Fans :)

Plus Size Bikini's

Before y'all think I've lost the plot I'm just letting you know I haven't. Yes it's April and Summer for most of us is still a long way away, but that doesn't mean we can't start preparing. All the pretty bikini's will be gone come Summer and then what will you do? I've been sourcing the internet to show you gals the best place to buy plus size bikini's and I've also bought a few for myself along the way...
Forever21 Plus Size bikini's
By far the plus size range from Forever21 have knocked the competition out of the water in terms of styles and price points. For the amount of times you wear a bikini (Maximum 3 weeks out of the year, for us UK and Irish gals) you don't want to spend a fortune. All these bikini's range in and around €30 which is an absolute bargain. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes so you're bound to find one that suits you down to the ground! I'm a huge fan of the Tropical Print and the Aztec Print Bikini and can't wait to rock them on my holiday's wherever I'll end up this year. Shipping from Forever21 is about €6 but it's free on orders over €50 so all the more incentive to buy two. All of the pants are high-waisted so if you're tummy conscious like myself you'll be comfortable and confident on the beach this year.
Untitled #93
For the poolside I like to dress up my Bikini. The easiest and most versatile way is to add a Kimono. I love this one from River Island. It's perfect not only for poolside but you can throw it on over a plain white skater dress, add loads of jewellery and you're set for the bar. Summer time is the time of year when you're allowed to introduce as much colour as possible, and I love adding vibrant greens, blues and pinks to my look. I'm a huge fan of Hipenema bracelet's as they look like loads of little bracelets but they're all intertwined, so it's little hassle for you. Now I know they're not cheap but there's loads of dupes on the market. My all time favourite bikini is my black high waisted one. This one from Forever21+ is fab. It's classic and sophisticated and it will never go out of fashion. Instead of moldy flip flops(I hate them with a passion) I like to rock jewelled Sandals. These ones are especially gorgeous! Keep an eye out in Penney's now for all the gorgeous Sandals, as come the end of next month there won't be a decent sandal in sight!
Asos Curve Bikini
Asos Curve is a firm favourite and this year they've an array of swimwear for us to choose from. A lot of it is on sale now actually, so it's well worth a look if you're on the lookout for some inexpensive pieces. They're not as highwasited as Forever21 but if they're still giving you Plus Size girls the option to rock a bikini on the beach which is great! Sure once you're confident in yourself you can wear whatever you want on the beach, right? They've loads of fun prints as well as solid colours, I especially love the classic black- very bond girl! A lot of them have underwire in the cups so if you've bigger boobs like me you'll feel a bit more supported on the beach. Over all they've great colours and a wider size range than Forever21, as well as being able to buy a separate top and bottom so you get the perfect fit!. If you've bigger boobs I recommend sizing up!

Untitled #94
This is a more relaxed look. On holiday's you don't want to be fussing over what to wear. I think a loose Black or White T-shirt over your bikini along with a necklace looks just as stylish as the kimono look. It's effortless and causal and you can relax whatever you're doing. Make sure the T-shirt is over-sized to make it more of a cover up than a top. I like to double up Gold Ghetto chains to make the necklace longer and more funky. Plus it's easier to whip off when you're sunbathing or taking a dip in the water. Like the other outfit inspiration I've gone with these jewelled Sandals, as they definitely add a bit of bling to the outfit. I love this Asos Curve bikini. The pants aren't as high-waisted, but who cares? you'll get your tummy nice and tanned! Unfortunately most sizes are sold out, but they've loads of similar styles on their website!

I hope this post has got you all in the mood for Summer! I for once can't wait. I'll be linking cute bikini's as I find them on my Facebook Page, so keep and eye out!
