Freeze 24-7 Skin Glace Review

I bet you're all rolling your eyes, another Skincare post from me! My skin hasn't been in the best shape as of late, and I'm trying my hardest to look after it properly. I recently ran out of my La Roche Posay Physiological Water, and I must admit I panicked a bit, I loved it, but Liz Earle's Hot Cloth Cleanser is still my favourite cleanser of all time.  Now I'm a firm fan of Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser, but with a few cleansers to try, I decided to give this one a go. I haven't heard much about Freeze 24-7, but I loved the packaging and decided to give it a shot.
With green being my favourite colour, I loved the clear packaging, and I also loved that it comes with a pump. I much prefer pumps to tubes as it's easier to get all the product out. On first inspection it smells so clean and fresh. Cucumber being the most noticeable scent. Like I said in my latest skincare post is that smell is really important to me when it comes to skincare. I also love how you can use it for multiple purposes! You can use it as a face mask, and a cleanser. I love having a hot bath, and applying masks, but I also love a good cleanser that's quick and easy to use! It contains ingredients you'd never associate with a cleanser, like Rice Bran and Soy Protein. However as weird as they are, the combination seems to work! I want to stress when it comes to my skin, I'm very picky and don't trust a lot of products. I do tons or research and often take bloggers recommendations before I buy or even test a product, so I know what I'm in for when I give it a whirl!
Like I said you can use it two ways. To use it as a cleanser massage it into a damp face  and rinse well. Simple really! To use it as a Mask:Apply  a generous amount it to dry skin, and leave it for 1-2 minutes. Like I said before I love a good face mask, but sometimes I don't want to wait 20 minutes, as more often than not, I simply don't have time. So the 1-2 minute is perfect as you get great results with minimal effort. I can honestly say I'm really impressed with this cleanser and mask. I've heard rave reviews of it from different Bloggers, and am pleased to agree with them. Now of course like everything there is draw backs. At €43 a pop it's not your typical cheap cleanser, and to be quite honest with you, it's something that If I hadn't tried it, I wouldn't purchase. After using it for 3 weeks, I've noticed a difference in my skin, and I would definitely consider repurchasing it over my Liz Earle!
Freeze 24-7 Skin Glace "Daily Detoxifying Cleanser and Mask"* rrp €43

Have you guys tried Freeze 24-7?

It's a Nice Day for a White Wedding

Dress:Asos Curve, Jewellery:Fran&Jane, Hat:Paris, Shoes:Dunnes Stores.

Last week, I attended my cousin Monica's Wedding out in Summerhill House Hotel in Enniskerry. It's such a beautiful Hotel, and the grounds are just stunning. The day itself was absolutely fantastic, and I had a great time with all the family, and dancing with my cousins! Everything from the atmosphere to the food was amazing. It feels like a country retreat even though it's only a 20 minute drive outside of Dublin. It was a gorgeous day, and was scorching! That morning I rushed to the A|Wear A/W Press Day, and then thanks to my lovely Mum got a lift home and had only 30 minute to get ready! I've planned my outfit for so long, but hadn't actually purchased the dress. I had an ASOS  voucher, and so it ended up costing me very little! I think it's the perfect dress for a Summer Wedding. I love the coral, lime and yellow sequins, as well as the tulle skirt, who doesn't love a bit of tulle?

The dress certainly has a princess feel, and I hope I get another occasion to wear it again soon! Next time I'd wear it with a coral or neon clutch bag, for a fancy dinner or something! Over all the dress is comfy, even with the big tulle skirt. It's the perfect length for a wedding and I felt extremely lady like! I actually didn't have a headpiece until a few minutes before I left the house, when I robbed this one off my mum! She got it in Paris, and I couldn't believe how lucky I was to get something that matched so well. I kept the outfit as simple as possible, opting for nude court shoes, and silver jewellery. I wanted two big statement pieces, with a large bangle, and a rose ring, both of which are from Fran&Jane. I've actually have these both over two years, and they're still in great condition, and not one diamant√© has fallen off. The bangle was €59 and the ring was €39, so not cheap, but considering the quality I'm happy I made the investment. I really had a great day, and I wish my cousin Monica all the happiness in the world <3

Autumn Outfit Idea's

Walking home from work tonight (I was on the late shift) and even though I finished at 9pm, it was still bright out, until last night. Last night was the first time in months that it was dark when I was walking home, and it hit me that Summer was well and truly over. I had a great Summer, and as sad as I am to see the back of it, I'm really looking forward to the Autumn outfits. I love layering, and I much prefer Winter clothes to Summer ones. Give me a chunky knit, over a crop top any day! I decided to put together a few outfits, to hopefully give you all some idea's for the upcoming months! All are outfits consisting of clothes, that I'm sure you all have in your wardrobe so you can start planning your Autumn outfits with the clothes you already have in your wardrobe.
Autumn Outfit #1

Cardigan:Fran&Jane, Dress and Boots:Topshop, Rings:River Island, Necklace:Zara

For me nothing screams A/W like a good chunky knit. Year after year Fran&Jane nail it on the head with their knitwear. Good quality and super warm. This oversized shrug is perfect for this time of year, and will always be perfect around Christmas time. I'd pair this with a tunic dress, I love the pattern of this Topshop one, and would wear it with tights, and cut out boots. Simply pair is with a statement necklace and you're set to go. This outfit is perfect for the weekend when you're running around, and don't want anything bulky or uncomfortable on. The accessories are statement but not over the top, and with silver accessories you're always going to get the wear out of them! You could easily wear them with the other two outfits as well!
Untitled #58

Dress&Scarf:A|Wear, Jacket:New Look, Boots:Topshop, Waist belt:Whistles

This A|Wear dress is the perfect transitional piece. It can be on it's own now, or with thick tights in the Winter for a monochrome look. For now I'd personally wear it with a more neutral jacket, as I don't want to jump straight into Winter, as I wear a lot of black and white during the Winter months. I'd pair it with cute ankle Chelsea Boots and add a skinny belt to define my waist and to tie in the boots, and the black edges of the scarf. This jacket is absolutely gorgeous and will keep you warm through out the Winter. For now it's perfect under a little dress but if you're out and about in October/November you could easily layer it up to keep that extra bit toasty. For me A/W is all about boots. I love boots, more than heels. I espeically love the Chelsea style that are everywhere at the moment. I love these Topshop ones, but Asos,River Island and Aldo also do good quality ones, that will last you, year after year!

Untitled #59

Kimono:River Island, Jeans:Asos, Tunic:New Look, Runners:Vans, Sunglasses

I've recently purchased this River Island Kimono, and I absolutely love it. It had been sold out for months, but when I was in Galway a couple of weeks ago, I saw it in their teeny tiny River Island shop, and had to snap it up. Although being perfectly honest I couldn't really afford it! I've been wearing it non-stop, and it's so comfortable. Now I will say there's no warmth in it, but it's still not cold yet, so I've another couple of weeks of wearing it just on it's own left. It looks equally as nice over a tight tank top, as it does over a tunic top. My go to places for Tunic tops would be New Look and American Apparel. I don't mind paying a little bit for items of clothing I'll wear loads, and get the use out of it! I usually pair it with skinny jeans, and flats. For a more edgier look I'd pair it with runners and ripped jeans. Keeping the rest of the outfit simple with a slick of coral-pink lippy.

Are you guys looking forward to Autumn?

Merumaya Iconic Youth Serum Review

As a beauty Blogger, I'm lucky enough to receive samples of products every now and again. I've often a couple on the go at once, and unless something really pops out at me, I won't review it and share it with you guys. Last month I was invited along to the Merumaya Bloggers breakfast, and meet with the lovely team to learn about Merumaya, Britain's newest skincare range. Like I said I'm always honest with you guys, and never share something I haven't tried, tested and love. I received the Merumaya "Iconic Youth Serum" and I can honestly say it's become a permanent fixture in my skin care routine, so I want to share it with you guys. I actually just applied this on my face, and can't get over how much I love it!
The Iconic Youth Serum* is described as:
A special Hyaluronic Acid gel, a plant stem-cell extract of Globe Daisy together with a deep-sea vent Extremophile biotech compound, provides great moisture, prepares skin to resist aggression, boosts its own defence systems, reducing water loss, redness, blemishes and many other skin imperfections. Mangosteen, Rhodiola and Turmeric antioxidants, combined with essential minerals bring integrative balance to the formula.
The first thing I notice about the Iconic Youth Serum is the scent. I'm a lover of nice smelling products, I find it rather disappointing when a products doesn't smell nice or have a scent at all. I can't quite explain the scent but it's not overbearing. It's sort of a clean scent, but doesn't smell synthetic. The second thing I noticed was the texture. It comes in a pump form, and one pump cover my face. I blends in quickly, and leaves my skin lovely and soft and smelling lovely. Personally I loved this serum, my skin feels softer, I feel is looks plumper and as a dry skin sufferer, my skin is nice and moisturised. Now lets face it, it's a recession and the Serum comes in at €43.50 which isn't cheap, But the brand is affordable luxury. I've often fallen into the trap of buying a number of products at cheaper prices, but haven't felt they've benefited my skin at all. In hindsight I'd of been better off of spending a little bit more on one products that actually works!

What I Wore:A|Wear Press Event

Sequin Jacket:A|Wear, Everything else: Penneys/Primark

I'm a lover of sequins, If I could get away with wearing them on a daily basis I would! I bought this Jacket 3 years ago and it's probably my favourite jacket. It's really comfortable and not at all scratchy, one of the downsides to sequins. I went to the A|Wear A/W Press Day on Thursday morning, and wanted to rock up in something A|Wear, and I thought this jacket would be appropriate. Now it is a statement especially for me to wear it before noon, but I'm all for taking fashion risks, so decided to just go with it. I wanted to dress is down, so wore a striped skater dress, and a skull printed scarf. It's an outfit, that can we dressed up or down. Simply add a clutch and some heels and you're good to go or you can wear it like I did with flats, and oversized sunnies for a more casual look.

I surprisingly didn't wear any jewellery as I felt the jacket was more than enough of a statement. The inside of the jacket is a lovely jersey feel so my arms weren't constricted in the slightest. The scarf covers the details of the jacket, as it's in a quirky biker style. It looks just as good zipped up as open. I'll feature it in an outfit soon zipped up with a pair of skinny jeans! The prominent shoulder pads are another feature of this jacket that I like. It makes it different to any sequin jacket, and every time I wear it, I feel like I'm a rock star (Someday!) I love having these pieces in my wardrobe, that I have for years and years and can bring out every year. The quality in this jacket is exceptional. in the 3 years that I've yet to notice a sequin missing!

A|Wear Autumn/Winter Press Day

Yesterday was a very busy day for me, I had a Wedding to go to at 3, but I was also invited to the A|Wear A/W press day, something I didn't want to miss, so I was running around like a little busy bee, all day! I had a fantastic day at both events, but I want to show you the gorgeous clothes A|Wear have in store for this season first. It was held in a quirky loft in Dublin, and I even though I only dropped in for a couple of minutes, I had a great time browsing the collection! As you can see the collection this year is gorgeous. From embellished cosy knits, to leopard print coats, there's something there for everyone. I personally love the embellished cream knit and plan to wear it with a skater leather look skirt and over the knee boots when the weather gets really chilly! There was loads of tartan too, a print that I've been falling in love with over the last two years, so I'm of course happy about that.

With A|Wear being Irish, I'm of course a huge fan, I've been wearing it since I was a teenager and am happy that the company is thriving in the recession. Although with their collection this year, I can see why they're successful. I'm a huge shopper, and I'm so glad my love with the brand has been rekindled and with their fantastic price points you can be have stylish and fashionable clothes and an affordable price. Even though they're price points are reasonable the quality  is great. I think I've mentioned this before but I've a sequin jacket I bought 3 years ago, and bring it out year after year, and none of the sequins have fallen off yet. So their quality is great. (I wore the jacket to the Preview and will have an outfit post in the next day or two!) I think more than ever before people want great quality, at affordable prices and personally I feel A|Wear has hit the nail on the head here.

As you all know by now, I'm an accessory fiend. I'm a self confessed magpie, and can't resist a bit of bling. A|Wear have a fantastic selection of statement jewellery, and aren't generic to other High Street stores. Again their price points are reasonable so you can update your wardrobe for next to nothing! I loved all their statement necklaces, and am anxiously awaiting their arrival in store! Their bags are also gorgeous. I've been known to spend a pretty penny on handbags, and again I can't resist a bit of arm candy, so I was delighted to see some of the gorgeous bags that will be in for Autumn/Winter. My favourite is the Mulberry inspired leopard print bag, that I know will carry me through the Winter. What I love about it, is that it's not a normal boring black bag. The leopard print gives it something special and will brighten up a plain black outfit ,that I'm known to wear when it's bitterly cold!

What do you guys think of the new A/W collection?

Big Hair, Don't Care

As you all know, I'm slightly obsessed with voluminous hair. The bigger the better, I say! I've used a million and ones products over the past number of years in search of the biggest hair I can get. I've used powder, sprays, and have back-combed my hair a million times. I just love the look of big hair, and I think it suits my style, if that makes sense? Tresemme, and Aussie are the two products I came to know and love, for my big hair. I'm always reluctant to test new products, as I was comfortable in my hair care routine. However when John Frieda "Luxurious Volume" arrived in the post, I was more than happy to give it a whirl. I've used John Freida products before, and had a good experience, so I knew I wouldn't be let down.
A lot of people don't realise (I didn't either until last year!) that I have fine hair. With the mop of hair I do have, I naively assumed that I had thick hair. It was finally good to know, what my hair type is. My stylist told me I had fine hair, just a lot of it. This Shampoo and Conditioner is specifically for fine hair, and after my first wash, I noticed a change immediately. My hair after blow-drying it was HUUUUGE.I felt like Cheryl Cole flicking my hair (I wish!) The second time I tested the products, I  used the Blow-drying spray from the same range, which promises to give your hair a further lift. In my last outfit post, you can see the results. It speaks for itself!
The Shampoo* is a thick texture, and forms a nice lather. I hate when I have to use so much product on my hair, and takes ages to wash out, especially if I'm in a rush that morning. I only need to use a tiny amount, as it goes a long way. I usually get around a month out of John Frieda Shampoo and Conditioner's and I don't think this one will be any different, although does anyone else use a lot more conditioner than they do Shampoo? I swear I have it in my head that I need a bucket load of Conditioner to tame my crazy hair.
The conditioner* is a nice consistency. It's not as thick as others I've used, and to be honest I was a bit apprehensive, and didn't expect as good of a result compared to thicker formula's. When I first used it my hair was quite tangled and in dire need of some TLC. I applied a decent amount from my root to tip, as I really wanted to give my hair some pampering. I left it on for 3-4 minutes and then made sure to  wash it out thoroughly. When I combed my hair, It was like I had no knots! I was really impressed! Not only was my hair left soft and tangle-free it had a lot more volume in it.

Over all I thought the John Freida Shampoo and Conditioner were fantastic, and really gave me the big hair I crave!

A Trip Down Memory Lane

Hey Lovelies!
Last week, I took a road trip with my Mom, and went down to the country to Tipperary to see my lovely grandparents! I don't go down as often as I should, but thoroughly enjoyed my time down there. They live in such an idyllic part of Ireland, and it's always a pleasure to visit, and take in the gorgeous scenery!

I love showing you guys little bits of my life! Let me know if you enjoy these posts! :)

The Carrie Dress

Dress:Topshop, Blazer/Rings:Penneys/Primark, Necklace:River Island, Shoes:New Look, Bag:Fran&Jane

Topshop is fast becoming my favourite shop again. I use to shop there all the time, and would always come away with something whenever I went in. Over the past little while, every single time I went in, there was absolutely no size 16's or even 14's. So I was forced to shop elsewhere or shop online! Not really ideal if you're on your lunch break and want something nice to wear for that night. However on Monday I was really early for work, and decided to nip into House of Fraser in Dundrum, and have a look in Topshop, not expecting to see anything in a larger size. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw this beauty. I ran over and wasn't expecting a size 16 on the rack. It must of been my lucky day because there was ONE left. I tried it, and the rest is history! As an avid Sex and the City viewer it reminded me of the dress Carrie Bradshaw wears in the opening sequence, and I must admit I felt a little like her last night!

On Tuesday night I attended the Oohlala Blog awards, and had a great night. A little over crowded but the drinks (and doughnuts) were yummy! It was held in 37 Dawson Street, which is a fab venue. I wanted to go dressy but not too dressy. I paired this dress with a statement necklace and a black blazer, as there's been a bit of change in the weather, and it's becoming rather chilly. It's a cropped style and at €19 in Penneys It's definitely a good buy. I'm glad I opted for a different colour as I'd normally go for a black in this type of dress, it's always good to get out of your comfort zone, right? It also comes in a gorgeous Pink colour! If it ever comes back into stock, I'll be snapping that baby up too!

ParcelForce

Being the crazy online shopper that I am, I'm constantly waiting for the postman. If I'm not fast asleep, I'm at work, so more often than not I end up missing the post. Sometimes, my lovely postman sees the car there, and leaves my parcel in the postbox for me, but more often than not it looks like no one is home. They always deliver the next day, at approximately the same time, and again more often than not I'm not home at the time either. Which makes it rather difficult to get my new dress or new shoes! With working all the hours I can, I get stressed out and usually my poor Mum has to make time out of her day to drive up and get it for me, as my depot is quite far away, unlike my local post office that's just up the road. So I know the woes of postage and wish there was a better service provided by some online retailers.
I was recently introduced to the Parcel Delivery Service ParcelForce by a friend and of course by ASOS, who you all know I shop with on a weekly basis! I just wanted to share with you what a nifty service it provides. If only all online retailers had a delivery service as customer friendly as this one. It's the perfect way to receive parcels from all over the world.  If you're living the UK they offer a great service in which you they can collect your parcel and send it anywhere you like. It's a great service if you're a busy bee like me, and don't really have time during the week to nip to your post office! If you've friends living in all parts of the world, it's a great service so you can send them little gift packages and cards safe in the knowledge it will get there on time and swiftly. A friend of mine has just recently moved to London for the Summer. London isn't that far away I know, but I miss her all the same. Last week, I was chilling at home, when a ParcelForce van pulled up. I wondered had I forgotten something that I'd ordered as I wasn't expecting any packages but it was from my friend! She had sent me Sleek Make up that I've been babbling on about that I can't get over here, and I was smiling for the whole week. Thanks again Sarah if you're reading this <3 I LOVE YOU! (Look out for a review soon guys!)
Browsing through the website, you can avail of multiple options for delivery. You can track and trace a parcel so you can see where your parcel is, so you're not worrying and waiting anxiously. There's so many options and you're safe in the knowledge that your parcel will arrive on time. What impresses me most about them is that if you choose "Global Express" They will deliver your parcel to the U.S, Canada and Europe in 1 working day, and 2 days for the rest of the world, which is amazing. Of course it's not cheap, but if you need to send something urgently to the other part of the world it's a great service. An extra bonus is that you can pay for a parcel up 30kg for more locations (10-15kg more than most airlines will allow you to bring on a plane!) So when you're sending a parcel you're not worrying about weight restrictions! Again you pay for it, but if you need to send a heavy parcel, I'd personally look to Parcel Force first, before anything else. Now they do have package size restrictions but again you've so much allowance unless you're sending the kitchen sink in the post, you should be covered. Although on the off chance you do want to ship the kitchen sink there is an option to send it in freight up to 1500kg!
The whole website is well laid out, and easy accessible. Absolutely no fuss! You can choose between multiple options for international and the UK. They also have phone numbers which you can contact in relation to any parcels or queries you need answered that aren't already on the "FAQ" section. It's a great service, and I just wanted to share it with you!
